From the novels, short stories, full-length plays, films, poems, biographies, and autobiographies you have read, select a work that depicts a society, culture, or environment that has undergone a significant change. Using specific references from the work, explain the nature of this change and its impact on a single character. Explain how the character’s response to this change relates to a major theme of the work.
